Welcome to Bumble & Brae Café – a little seaside spot where good food and community come together.
Tucked away in the beautiful coastal village of Gardenstown, our café was created with one simple idea in mind: to offer a space where people can slow down, take a breath, and feel at home by the sea.
We’re a family-run café, built on a love of baking and creating something meaningful within our local community. What started as a dream has grown into a place where locals pop in for their daily coffee, visitors stumble upon a hidden gem, and everyone is welcomed with a smile.
Great coffee, tasty food and friendly hosts! We felt very welcome after popping in for a quick bite and warm drink. Highly recommend and we will hopefully be back! 🤍
We stayed in our motorhome and went in for breakfast, a lovely friendly place, food is amazing and their homemade scones are outstanding, the staff make you feel welcome from the second you walk through the door.
Went with our border collie dog and sat outside round the back.The staff are really good and cannot do enough for you,we had the afternoon tea and it was amazing. There was so much on the plates which included a drink and everything home made.I would highly recommend a visit as this place is a little gem.
Been in a couple of times. First time I had the Raspberry Bakewell, the BEST I’ve ever tasted!
Today, I had the Rhubarb & Custard Cake, AMAZING!
The owners are lovely too, both willing to stop and have a chat.

Changed name and owners since our last visit. Same attentive service and super tasty offerings as before. We had a toastie and a savoury, both came with crisps and a salad that someone had spent time over. Open Thur – Sun at the moment.

Wondering little place. We had a bowl of soup (delicious) and I couldn’t but help have a slice of their brumble cake with a coffee afterwards. Lovely atmosphere with Fiona and Laura. Well worth going to if you’re up that way.
A cosy cafe with a word burning fire for those chilly days. Afternoon tea was amazing and the staff are lovely. We will definitely visit again. Booking essential as it is a small cafe.
